The Staff of WASAC were greatly praised by the CEO of Agaciro Development Fund for consistent efforts to support the Fund after reception of a fifty million Rwandan francs cheque on Tuesday 15th October 2019 at WASAC Head Office.

According to Dr. Jack Kayonga, the CEO of Agaciro Development Fund WASAC has become a good example among institutions in as far as supporting the fund is concerned. “We usually call it WASAC model” said Dr. Jack Kayonga after receiving the cheque handed to him by Eng. Aimé MUZOLA the CEO of WASAC Ltd.

“We recognise WASAC’s efforts who contribute every year to the fund. This is the fifth year for WASAC donating money to this Fund with not less than Rwf50 million. This is a good culture to prepare the country for a better future,” he said

Speaking after signing the cheque; the CEO of WASAC Ltd insisted on the good attitude of WASAC Staff who tirelessly contribute to boost the country’s sovereign wealth fund.

“This is the action we commit to every year. It has already been integrated into our system and we urge more others to do so every year,” he said.

It is not really a lot of money, but we think seeking dignity concerns both the poor and the rich and it only requires changing attitude.

The deposited amount was collected from 852 staff countrywide who committed for a monthly deduction from their salary.

Agaciro Development Fund was introduced to build up savings to achieve self-reliance, maintain stability in times of shocks to the national economy and help accelerate Rwanda’s socio-economic development goals.
